Lewis King – Co-Founder
Lewis founded the business in 2017 and still gets exactly the same buzz from recruitment today as he did back then. While his role has changed over the years, one thing hasn’t: he loves helping clients solve problems and helping candidates find the right opportunity.
Lewis believes recruitment is ultimately a people business. Qualifications, skills and experience matter, but understanding what motivates people matters just as much. His straightforward, honest approach has helped him build long-standing relationships with clients and candidates throughout the construction industry.
Outside of work, Lewis coaches basketball, enjoys Xbox gaming, and can occasionally be persuaded to swap the phone and keyboard for a glass of white wine.
Paul Welford – Co-Founder
Paul has worked in construction recruitment since 2007 and has spent years helping clients find the right people and candidates find the right opportunities.
He believes recruitment is ultimately about people, not CVs. That’s why he’s built his reputation on honesty, straightforward communication and long-term relationships. Clients know they’ll get an honest opinion, candidates know they’ll get treated fairly, and everyone knows Paul will always pick up the phone.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find him behind the decks as a part-time DJ, watching cricket, or enjoying a well-earned glass of red wine.
Adriana Blendarau - Candidate Services
Adriana is the organisational force behind much of what happens at Welford King Recruitment. From sourcing candidates and reviewing CVs to checking qualifications and managing the finer details of the recruitment process, she helps ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
If Lewis and Paul are the faces of the business, Adriana is often the person making sure the promises they make can actually be delivered. Her attention to detail, commitment to quality and ability to keep countless moving parts under control make her an invaluable part of the team.
She is passionate about helping candidates find new opportunities and takes pride in building positive relationships throughout the recruitment journey.
Away from work, Adriana enjoys travelling, skiing and gardening, and is usually far better organised than the co-founders.
